Plot Synopsis
THE FIRST 48: OVERKILL features updates on cases from THE FIRST 48, including all-new interviews with the detectives involved with the case. On Saturday, June 25, 2016 from 9-11pm ET/PT, A&E premiered back-to-back episodes with these stories:
"Dead Sleep" (June 25 at 9pm): Cincinnati Homicide Detective Kurt Ballman investigates a brutal beating death in the close-knit East End neighborhood.
"The Good Book" (June 25 at 10pm): In Miami, Detective Manny Castillo is investigating a brutal double homicide. The key to the case could be a surviving third victim, who is clinging to life after being shot multiple times.
