Plot Synopsis

Executive produced by Conan O'Brien and series creator/writer/star Olan Rogers, FINAL SPACE is a half-hour animated comedy series about a spaceman named Gary who is working off the final days of his five-year prison sentence, when he makes a mysterious new alien friend Mooncake who he immediately bonds with. But what Gary doesn't know is that his adorable new sidekick is actually wanted by the sinister Lord Commander who will stop at nothing to use Mooncake's untapped powers for evil. Turns out that Mooncake is an innocent, cute little ball of pureness, who Gary eventually figures out is a planet destroying super weapon, but Mooncake is also the only thing that can keep a dying Lord Commander alive. Gary is joined by Avocato, who is skillful, dangerous and not so trustworthy -- all the makings of a very imperfect best friend. Avocato's son, Little Cato, has been captured and held prisoner by the Lord Commander, but Little Cato is determined to be reunited with his father. Quinn is a brilliant badass, who makes a terrifying discovery: a breach in the time/space continuum. When no one listens, she steals a space ship and goes rogue to investigate, where she finds a time traveler named Nightfall, who also happens to be be Quinn coming back from a dark future. Plus, there's HUE, the Galaxy One's artificial intelligence, providing the voice of reason to Gary's non-reason. No matter how many times HUE proves to be smarter, Gary never listens. Without HUE, Gary is screwed. And Gary also hates KVN, his Deep Space Insanity Avoidance Companion. On Saturday, February 17, 2018 from 10:30-11:30pm ET, TNT debuted a one-hour sneak peek of FINAL SPACE, immediately following the 2018 NBA All-Star Saturday Night. Two days earlier -- on Thursday, February 15 at 8pm ET/5pm PT -- TBS launched the cable channel's first-ever live-stream on Reddit, premiering a sneak peek of FINAL SPACE, followed by an AMA with creator Olan Rogers. On Monday, February 26, 2018 at 10:30pm ET/PT, TBS aired the official series premiere of FINAL SPACE.

FINAL SPACE returned for its second season on Monday, June 24, 2019 at 10:30pm ET/PT on a new network: Adult Swim. In the season opener, "The Torra Regata," Gary is rescued from the wreckage of space then must earn his freedom by winning the deadliest race in the galaxy. Season 2 finds Gary restarting with a new ship and a new AI voiced by Jane Lynch as they recover what's left of his crew. Conan O'Brien reprises his role as Clarence, now a series regular, alongside Ron Funches and Ashly Burch, as they embark on an epic mission to free the Titan Bolo. Along the way, Gary battles new villains led by Alan Tudyk, Christopher Judge, and Gary's Mom, Claudia Black.

Season 3 of FINAL SPACE premiered on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at 10:30pm ET/PT on adult swim. Picking up where things left off in Season 2, the new season brings unexpected twists and turns as Gary and the crew enter final space to rescue Quinn. After discovering they are now trapped, the stakes get even higher as the crew must do whatever it takes to survive. With Invictus and Lord Commander determined to capture Mooncake in an attempt to use him to grow even more powerful, Gary and the crew's only hope is to team up with Earth's sole survivor. Together they must find a way out before it's too late.
