Plot Synopsis

By using high-tech sensors, cutting-edge cameras, crash-test dummies, motion-capture technology, CGI animation, and a team of experts, "Fight Science" tests, records and analyzes the human biomechanics of some of the greatest fighting techniques in the world, revealing the lethal capabilities of the human fighting machine and the limits of human performance. This series attempts to answer questions like: Is there really a secret Ninja Death Punch that can kill somone with a single blow? What creates more leverage -- the deadly whirling dance of capoeira or the twisting joint locks of jiu-jitsu? What is faster, a boxer's left jab or the snap elbow of the Muay Thai fighter? Who is the most effective Special Forces operative of them all? Can a human strike as fast as a snake? Nat Geo aired this program as a series starting in 2010 because of the great response it received from viewers for its three "Fight Science" specials in 2008. Nat Geo showed a sneak preview on Monday, February 1, 2010, followed by the series premiere on Thursday, February 4, 2010.
