Plot Synopsis

In each episode, pro golfer David Feherty interviews A-list icons from the worlds of sports, entertainment and politics, chatting with these celebs in locations special to the guests because he's "interested in other's opinions." Plus, Feherty shares his own stories and anecdotes from his personal and professional lives. Golf Channel aired a special 60-minute episode of the series on Monday, June 20, 2011 at 10pm ET, and the next day it aired the same episode as the official series premiere. Past guests have included Bill Clinton, Charles Barkley, Don Cheadle, Tom Watson, Samuel L. Jackson, Lee Trevino, Michelle Wie, Sergio Garcia, and many more celebs.

On Monday, February 25, 2013 at 10pm ET, Golf Channel aired the Season 3 premiere, featuring an interview with golf legend Jack Nicklaus. Other guests scheduled for Season 3 included Billy Casper, Bobby Knight, Jim Nantz, Phil Mickelson, Nick Faldo, Colin Montgomerie, Paul Azinger, PGA TOUR Commissioner Tim Finchem and others.

FEHERTY returned for its fourth season on Monday, March 17, 2014 at 10pm ET/7pm PT on Golf Channel, with former FedEx Cup champion Brandt Snedeker matching wits with David Feherty. Other guests in Season 4 included Phil Mickelson, Jim Furyk, Padraig Harrington, and more golf greats and celebrities.

Season 7 of FEHERTY premiered on Monday, March 6, 2017 at 9pm ET on Golf Channel, which will celebrate the 100th episode milestone in the new season. The season opener features the Part 1 of David Feherty's two-part interview with World Golf Hall of Fame member and five-time major champion Phil Mickelson. A 42-time PGA TOUR winner, Mickelson has built a career around his flair for the dramatic and an aggressive playing style, with the sum of countless signature moments elevating him into one of the most beloved fan-favorites in the history of the sport. Filmed at the Fairmont Grand Del Mar in San Diego, Mickelson discusses a wide range of topics with Feherty, including: winning his first Masters in 2004, and why his 2010 Masters victory was the first time he ever cried after winning a golf tournament; justifying his second shot on the 13th hole at Augusta National from the pine straw in his final round of the same 2010 Masters, and explaining how it was a calculated "percentage play," accounting for the least margin of error; the outpouring of emotional support his family received from fans and the golf community when both his wife Amy and mother Mary were diagnosed with breast cancer just six weeks apart in 2009; and more. The conclusion of Feherty's interview with Mickelson premieres the following Monday, March 13 at 9pm ET on Golf Channel. Other upcoming guests include: U.S. Ryder Cup hero and 5-time PGA TOUR winner, Patrick Reed (Monday, March 20); Former United States Secretary of State, Condoleezza Rice (Monday, March 27); Golden Globe and Academy Award-winning actor, Matthew McConaughey; and more.

On Monday, July 24, 2017 at 9pm ET/6pm PT, Golf Channel premiered the milestone 100th episode of FEHERTY. In this 90-minute special, filmed in front of a live audience, David has a relaxed conversation with three of his previous 99 guests: Lee Trevino, the series' very first guest; John Daly; and Gary McCord. Upcoming scheduled guests for the remainder of the season include NBC News' Matt Lauer (Monday, July 31); World Long Hall of Fame member Jackie Burke; Grammy Award-winning musician Darius Rucker; and major champion Louis Oosthuizen.

FEHERTY returned for its eighth season on Monday, March 5, 2018 at 9pm ET/6pm PT on the Golf Channel. The premiere episode features PGA TOUR star and current seventh-ranked player in the world Rickie Fowler, along with golf's most decorated major champion, Jack Nicklaus. Bob Bryan, 16-time grand slam doubles tennis champion also appears in the episode, as the series debuts a new multi-guest, roundtable format that will be utilized this season, similar to the series' 100th episode last year and previous Feherty Live stage shows on Golf Channel.

Season 9 of FEHERTY premiered on Monday, February 25, 2019 at 9pm ET/6pm PT on Golf Channel. The new season opens with a two-part premiere with fan-favorite and World Golf Hall of Fame member Fred Couples (Monday, February 25, and Monday, March 4). "Freddie's laid-back demeanor and signature saunter inside the ropes have been the cause of his peers' envy for years," said Feherty. "Success at this level isn't by accident, and Brooks, Bryson and Tony each have unique traits and backgrounds that allowed them to chart their own distinct path on TOUR. It's not hard to imagine that -- in a few decades -- one, or more of them may wind up joining Fred in the Hall of Fame." In addition to Couples, the initial run of guests will feature a trio of young American PGA TOUR stars: Bryson DeChambeau, Tony Finau and Brooks Koepka. Farmers Insurance(R) also will return as the show's presenting sponsor in 2019.

Golf Channel premiered the tenth season of FEHERTY on Monday, February 24, 2020 at 9pm ET/6pm PT. In the season opener, Feherty welcomes Henrik Stenson, the 2016 Open champion and silver medalist at the 2016 Rio Games. In addition to Stenson, the initial run of guests (airing Monday nights at 9pm ET) includes: ESPN anchor Scott Van Pelt (March 2); fellow major champion Gary Woodland (March 16); financial executive Charles Schwab (March 23); and retired Norwegian pro golfer Suzann Pettersen (March 30).

"I can't believe the show has gone as long as it has, and that I still have people left to interview," said Feherty. "It's a wonder that I've managed to con 10 seasons worth of guests into sitting next to me for an extended period. It's also somewhat alarming that the bar for what is considered good television remains just high enough for me to crawl underneath it."
