Plot Synopsis

Hosted by Robert Hays, each half-hour episode of FASTEN YOUR SEATBELT tells the true stories behind the most incredible moments from airports and flights. Whether it's caught on surveillance cameras or by cell phones of fellow passengers, Hays takes viewers through moments that are unbelievably shocking, as well as humorous and heartwarming -- from unruly passengers to mile high weddings and pedicures on the plane. The son of a Marine Corps Colonel and fighter pilot, Hays is best known for his role as pilot Ted Striker in the classic film AIRPLANE! and has trained as a pilot. FASTEN YOUR SEATBELT premiered on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 from 10-11pm ET/PT, as A&E debuted back-to-back episodes:

10pm: In the Atlanta airport terminal, an intoxicated traveler goes off the rails and then straight off a balcony. A ticket holder gets furious at a gate agent when her family vacation gets disrupted. A captain leaves the cockpit to take down a passenger and protect his flight attendant.

10:30pm: When wearing a mask becomes a point of contention for some travelers, things get out of control on-board planes. It's absolute mayhem when one man decides to drive his car through an airport terminal. Pilots make emergency landings on U.S. highways.

On Wednesday, August 11, 2021 from 10-11pm ET/PT, A&E premiered the season finale of FASTEN YOUR SEATBELT, debuting back-to-back episodes:

10pm: A tornado touches down in St. Louis and tears through their small airport, unruly passengers make attempts to rush the cockpit doors of different airplanes, and a bag starts smoking uncontrollably in the airport, causing people to race for the exits.

10:30pm: Airport staffers rush to the rescue after a curious toddler takes a joyride on the baggage carousel, a pilot in command attempts to sneak a bottle of vodka onto his flight, and a passenger has an epic meltdown after she tries boarding without permission.
