Plot Synopsis

In FARMHOUSE RULES Nancy Fuller cooks farm-fresh meals for her family, friends and neighbors, while using ingredients from the local Hudson Valley farming community. Nancy is a mother of six, a grandmother to 13, and a no-nonsense owner of a multimillion-dollar business she runs with her husband, David. In this half-hour series, she celebrates fall with a family feast, throws a square dance in her barn, hosts an old-fashioned dinner party in her 1650s home, celebrates her wedding anniversary, hosts a canning party, and spends the weekend with her grandkids. During these events, she prepares meals, such as: Lamb Stew With Sherry and Mushrooms and Roasted Russet Wedges With Balsamic Vinegar and Rosemary; Two Meat Chili, zippy Scallion Cornbread, and Bread Pudding With Bourbon Sauce; Roasted Chicken With Chestnut Breading, Sweet Corn Pudding and a Rustic Fruit Tart; Filet Mignon Sandwiches, Kale and Brussels Sprout Salad, and Carrot Cake With Pineapple Cream Cheese Frosting; Hearty Butternut Squash Soup, Spiced Apple Butter, and Lemon and Sugar Mini Biscuits; and Grilled Meatloaf Sandwiches, Nancy's Grandma's Potato Salad and a Berry Fruit Cobbler. FARMHOUSE RULES returned for its second season on Saturday, April 19, 2014 at 10:30am ET/PT on Food Network. In the Season 2 opener, Nancy visited her favorite antique shops looking for fun old kitchen gadgets, and she used her fantastic finds to make a meal of Chile Braised Ribs, Stove Top Mac and Cheese, Baked Cinnamon Sugar Madeleines and Irish Coffee. On Sunday, September 14, 2014 at 12:30pm ET/PT, Food Network debuted the third season of FARMHOUSE RULES. In the Season 3 premiere, "Aunt Jean Is Back in Town," Nancy's Aunt Jean is back in town, and Nancy is treating her to one of her favorite dishes: Fish and Chips with a Tangy Tartar Sauce and Super Simple Succotash on the side. Nancy also visits a woman who makes handcrafted bitters for the Honey Pear Icebox Trifle with Soft and Easy Ginger Snaps she makes for her aunt. FARMHOUSE RULES returned for its fourth season on Sunday, February 22, 2015 at 12:30pm ET/PT on Food Network. In the Season 4 opener, "Hoppy and Happy," Nancy uses local hops in her meal today, when she tops by her friends' brewery to pick up all different kinds of beer for cooking and baking. Then, she invites the brewers back to the farm for a comforting dinner that's out of this world. On the menu are Beer-Braised Beef Stew, Ale and Cheddar Biscuits, Kale Salad with Amber Ale Vinaigrette and Fudge Cake with Stout Glaze. Season 5 of FARMHOUSE RULES premiered on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at 10:30am ET/PT on Food Network. In the season opener, "Boxcar Beauties," Nancy is showing her grandkids how things are done on the farm and in the kitchen! The kids first learn how to tractor-plant seeds fresh in the soil of the farmland. Then, back in the kitchen, they're learning how to make easy and delicious dishes any kid could master: Fresh Vegetable Lasagna with Spinach and Zucchini, Chicken Taco Pacos, Crinkle Cut Carrots and Zesty Herb Dip and for dessert, chocolatey Creep Critter Bars. Finally, it's a boxcar race after dinner. On Sunday, March 20, 2016 at Noon ET/PT, Food Network premiered the sixth season of FARMHOUSE RULES. In the season opener, "Spring Kick-Off," Nancy is hosting a good old-fashioned spring kick-off for all her local farmer friends! After she gets her Strawberry Jam Roll-Up Cake in the oven, she makes a quick stop at the Hudson Farmer's Market to pick up some items for the rest of dinner: Spring Greens Salad with Traditional Ranch Dressing, Shepherd's Pie with Tater Tot Topping, and Minty Spiked Vanilla Iced Tea.

Season 7 of FARMHOUSE RULES premiered on Sunday, October 30, 2016 at 11;30am ET/PT on Food Network. In the season opener, "Sweet Times at the Fairground," Nancy's grandchildren are gearing up for the annual cupcake competition at the fair. She and her husband, David, have been hosting it in memory of David's late father, and this will be the first year the grandkids are participating. Nancy prepares some sweet treats for the children, like Caramel-Dipped Local Apples with a Toppings Bar and homemade Pear and Plum Fruit Rollups, then helps them each create their own Barnyard Vanilla Cupcakes that are sure to bring home the blue ribbon.
