Plot Synopsis

Twelve young female models compete in weekly elimination challenges, as they vie to become the spokesperson and brand ambassador for a national ad campaign: ULTA Beauty Fall and Holiday 2013 campaigns (Season 1); and Frederic Fekkai's 2014 campaign (Season 2). The 12 hopefuls are separated into three teams, with each group coached by one supermodel, including these coaches in Season 1: worldwide icon Naomi Campbell; bombshell sensation Karolina Kurkova; and fashion "It" girl Coco Rocha. Each week, the models compete in two different challenges, a Test Shoot and Campaign, assessing their fundamental skills and versatility as a model. Brand representatives from each challenge along with special guest judges choose the winning team, leaving each supermodel coach from the bottom two teams to nominate a member of their team for elimination. The coach of the winning team decides who gets sent home. Along the way, each hopeful has the opportunity to make a life-changing transformation through unprecedented access to real clients and national brands, including "W" and "ELLE" magazines, and iconic mentorships from industry veterans such as legendary photographer Patrick Demarchelier and revered male supermodel Tyson Beckford.

THE FACE returned for its second season on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at 10pm ET/PT on Oxygen, with 12 new modeltestants competing to become a spokesperson and ambassador for Frederic Fekkai's 2014 national ad campaign and an appearance in the July issue of "ELLE" magazine. Host Nigel Barker and coach Naomi Campbell were joined by two new mentors: Anne V and Lydia Hearst. Plus, these top fashion insiders from "ELLE" made guest appearances throughout Season 2: Editor-in-Chief Robbie Myers; Creative Director Joe Zee; Fashion News Director Anne Slowey; and ELLE.com Editor Leah Chernikoff.
