Plot Synopsis

EXPLORING KAMAN is a six-episode web series that follows NBA all-star Chris Kaman and his entourage as they sail from Los Angeles to Central America on a 65-foot fishing boat named 'Sasquatch' for on an epic fishing trip to catch a 1,000-lb. blue marlin. However, with little professional guidance and the strong, clashing personalities of his companions, he finds himself on an adventure wilder and weirder than he could have prepared for. Throughout the six-episode run, the series gives viewers a front-row seat on this one-of-a-kind adventure, as the NBA big man and his buddies catch a 20-pound tuna in Cabo San Lucas; romance local senoritas...with disastrous results; and deal with bruised egos, clogged toilets, and more, as they attempt to reel in the big catch while keeping their friendship -- and sanity -- intact. The crew includes: Kaman's chef and finance manager on dry land, Jeremy Scully thinks he's a born leader at sea, but his shipmates don't always agree with his arrogant ways. He clashes frequently with dramatic First Mate John Van Dellen, especially after Scully snags the first fish, despite Van Dellen's experience at sea. Ben and Caleb Chamberlain are brothers who grew up with Kaman in Grand Rapids, Mich. and knew him before his fame and fortune. While Caleb tends to be the most negative of the group, it also makes him the most rational, though his loyalty to the group keeps him tagging along, much to his vocal chagrin. Meanwhile, older brother Ben dreams of being an actor and uses his position as impromptu second cameraman to record his odd monologues, while his dramatic flair makes him easily susceptible to putting on an occasionally disastrous show for the others. On Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at 11pm ET/8pm PT, AXS TV aired the linear premiere of this series, more than eight months after Kaman released all six episodes of the web series on the same day, October 17, 2014, on his own website (www.exploringkaman.com) and YouTube channel.
