Plot Synopsis
Ladies man Phil and homebody Haskell are two divorced men who get a new roommate when the newly single Stuart is referred to them by his divorce attorney, Holly. Since Holly is also their landlord and across-the-hall neighbor, she can help them avoid any catastrophes, especially when things start off a little shaky as the two bachelors have reservations about living with clingy Stuart. Plus, Holly's assistant, Eden, doesn't let her professionalism get in the way of prying into her boss's personal life. In the third season of THE EXES, Stuart, a dentist, has finally started dating again, Phil's client list is ever-expanding as he becomes one of the top sports agents at his firm, and Haskell, a former homebody, is getting his game back. Meanwhile, Holly's just trying to find Mr. Right and her assistant, Eden, is never short on advice. Season 3 guest stars include: Diedrich Bader, Lisa Ann Walter, and Leslie Jordan. TV Land extended the third season of THE EXES to 20 episodes, with the second block of 10 episodes premiering on December 11, 2013 at 10:30pm ET/PT. In the summer finale, Phil and Eden realized that they were more interested in dating than remaining friends with benefits, while the rest of the gang was surprised to find out that anything was going on between them at all. In the premiere, the tension in the group comes to a head when Eden lets it slip that she may have faked it a few times with Phil. THE EXES returned for its fourth season on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at 10:30pm ET/PT on TV Land. In the Season 4 opener, "The Devil Wears Hanes," Holly tries to play cupid in the wake of Haskell declaring his love for Nicki, who decides to give him a shot but certain things come between them. Stuart secretly arranges for Phil to get together with his high school crush. Later in Season 4, Holly is working backwards to a wedding -- she has the date and location set, but only needs to find the perfect man. Meanwhile, Phil and Eden go their own separate dating ways after uncoupling last season. Two months before the Season 4 premiere, TV Land announced on September 5 that it picked up an additional 12 episodes of THE EXES. THE EXES returned with new episodes on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at 11pm ET/PT on TV Land. In the premiere episode, "Him," after returning from her honeymoon with herself, Holly gets too attached to a voice-controlled operating system she got as a wedding gift. Meanwhile, Phil begins to take advantage of Haskell's new generosity by exchanging favors for gifts.
