Plot Synopsis

Using first-person interviews and dramatic re-creations, EVIL TWINS follows true-crime mysteries surrounding cases of two people who share the same genes, committing dark deeds -- separately or together. Each 60-minute episode reveals a pair of sinister siblings: twins who tag team to kill together, twins who turn on each other, twins living apart yet sharing identical criminal records, and even the good twin versus the evil. The first three episodes of this series are: "A Tale of Two Sisters," which chronicles Sunny and Jeena Han, twins immigrating from South Korea to California at the age of 12, who were bitterly competitive for grades, love, and attention in high school -- sending each one separately into their own world of addiction, theft, and prison at different colleges -- which led one sister to order a hit on her other half; "Bad Seeds," which highlights the story of Robert and Stephen Spahalski, twins using their athletic abilities to commit petty crimes in order to finance their escalating drug habits as teenagers, who later turned to murder -- when a deadly crime put Stephen in jail, Robert turned into a dangerous serial killer and eventually turned himself into the police to join his brother behind bars; and "My Brother's Keeper," which documents Greg and Jeff Henry, sharing a strange relationship with Greg in the dominant role and Jeff feeling like his submissive slave, whose apartment was often visited by police after neighbors complained about drunken shouts, violent fights, and even gunshots -- until a final gun shot left one of the brothers dead and the other on the run. After having a short run during Summer 2012 in what was billed as a three-episode series, EVIL TWINS returned on New Year's Day 2013 at 10pm ET/PT with new episodes. EVIL TWINS returned for a new season on Thursday, March 27, 2014 at 10pm ET/PT on Investigation Discovery. In the season premiere, Pat and Pete Bondurant terrorized their hometown and covered up their horrific crimes in their hometown in Tennessee, after these twin farm boys were bullied for being obese. On Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at 9pm ET/PT, Investigation Discovery premiered new epiosodes of EVIL TWINS. In the first new episode, "Deadly Doppelgangers," chronicled the lives of Jerome and Tyrone Page, who grew up in the mean streets of Baltimore. The lure of a quick fix and a fast buck leads to years of criminality that will come to a head in a night of brutal violence. Their shared DNA will eventually pit one twin against the other. EVIL TWINS returned for its third season on Thursday, October 15, 2015 at 10pm ET/PT on Investigation Discovery. The season opener, "The Candymen," focuses on the George Brothers, who grew up privileged but had no respect for authority. In Florida's pill-mill epidemic of the late 2000s, the Georges rose to millionaire status, only to crash amidst a chaos of overdoses, arrests and a tragic train accident. Season 4 of EVIL TWINS premiered on Monday, September 25, 2017 at 10pm ET/PT on Investigation Discovery. In the season opener, "Fire for Freedom," identical twins Caleb and Joshua are the apples of their father's eye, but the pressure to be exceptional manifests itself as a dangerous hatred; isolated from the world, the twins' seclusion fuels a need for them to break free at any cost. Season 5 of EVIL TWINS premiered on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at 9pm ET/PT on Investigation Discovery. In the season opener, "Mother of Evil," life in a family of twins has been anything but normal for identical twins Mark and Martin Stephens. But one of them is more unusual than the others. And before long, someone close will learn just how deadly a lifetime of unrealized dreams can be.

On Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at 9pm ET/PT, Investigation Discovery premiered the season finale of EVIL TWINS. In the season ender, "Born to Sin," adopted twins Peter and Michael Versluys are raised in a loving home. As time goes by, however, the boys reveal their inner dark side and their lives become full of failure and deceit. Ultimately, their twisted bond exposes the evil that lies within.
