Plot Synopsis

Each year a group of climbers attempts to scale Mt. Everest with a group of guides and sherpas. Not only must the climbers battle extreme cold, bitter storms, oxygen deprivation and avalanches, but they must fight themselves and their fears. Some climbers make it to the top, some go home, and a few never make it off the mountain. In season 3, Scott Parazynski becomes the first astronaut to summit Mount Everest -- while carrying moon rocks!
