Plot Synopsis

Lieutenant colonel Dick Strawbridge and his partner Angel Adoree trade their English apartment for a dilapidated, 19th-century French chateau. Ignoring that it has no heat or electricity, the pair embark on a project to to restore, renovate and redecorate the estate into a fairytale castle for their upcoming wedding and 200 guests. ESCAPE TO THE CHATEAU had its U.S. premiere on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at 8pm ET/PT on HGTV.

Dick and Angel build a catering kitchen for their business and reclaim the old family kitchen for their pleasure; Dick and Arthur sneak off to Paris for gear from a famous chef's shop; Dorothy has a unicorn-themed party for her fifth birthday.
