Plot Synopsis

Six teams of two compete against each other in a road-trip competition, with layovers in Los Angeles, New York, Las Vegas, Atlanta, Miami and San Francisco, as the vie for the grand prize of $100,000 and two Ford Escapes. In the debut episode, teams face off in a real-life "Hanging With Friends" game, where one teammate hangs below balloons that are covering a five-letter word suspended from a building. The rest of the contestants guess letters of another team's word, and one of the opposing team's balloons will pop for every letter a team correctly identifies -- until the fifth and final letter of the word is revealed and the hanging teammate drops out of sight to the street below. Teams include: Bre and Tara, best friends and soul mates from Boulder, CO; Derek and Drew, musician brothers from Seattle, WA; Iris and Terrence, best friends from Los Angeles, CA; Brett and Ross, two YouTubers from Los Angeles, CA; Sharon and Wilson, a brother and sister from Florida; and Tiffany and Chekesha, two models from New York, who online voters selected from a group of four teams. This series marks "the first time an automaker has used prime-time television to launch a new vehicle and it is a great showcase for the all-new Escape," according to Jim Farley, Ford group vice president for Global Marketing, Sales and Service.
