Plot Synopsis

Hosted by Hunter March, EMOGENIUS is a half-hour comedic game show that features two pairs of contestants who face off to put their emoji-solving skills to the test for a chance to win $10,000. Contestants first have to decode a series of pop culture inspired emoji messages, followed by a round of sending each other strings of emojis in the hope that their partner can guess the message. Finally, only one team advances to the bonus round, where they trade off sending and guessing rapid fire emoji messages for a chance to win $10,000. Viewers at home also have a chance to further test their emoji-solving skills with the online EMOGENIUS game at GSNTV.com. The 26-year-old Hunter March, following in the footsteps of his grandfather Hal March, becomes the youngest (non-kids') game show host in TV history.

On Wednesday, August 16, 2017 from 9-10pm ET/PT, GSN premiered the season finale of EMOGENIUS, showing back-to-back new episodes:

"Team Paranormal Survivalists vs. Team Flying Carpets" (9pm): An engaged couple battle two friends using emojis.

"Team Alley Cats vs. Team Tough Love" (9:30pm): Friends battle coworkers using emojis to solve pop culture puzzles.
