Plot Synopsis

EMERGENCY 24/7 is a one-hour reality series that follows a group of UK first responders as they perform life-saving acts and an elite team of doctors as they diagnose and treat patients at one of the UK's leading trauma centers. Conducting on-the-spot investigations, these specialists use all available clues to make critical, split-second decisions that just might save their patients' lives. Each 60-minute episode chronicles three different cases, including the series premiere, which features a man burned in a high-voltage explosion, a 12-year-old boy struck by a van, and a motorcyclist badly injured in a high-impact collision. After airing in the UK as TRAUMA DOCTORS, this series had its U.S. premiere with the title EMERGENCY 24/7 on Friday, June 19, 2015 at 10pm ET on Discovery Life, launching the cable channel's "ER Week" stunt, which runs from June 19-28 with marathons of emergency-room programming.
