Plot Synopsis

Eli Stone is a lawyer who has visions that foreshadow the future and his impending cases, and he struggles with this condition since it affects both his personal relationships and his career. His visions are likely caused by a brain aneurysm, but his acupuncturist, Dr. Chen, suggests that they might just be divine inspirations and that Eli might be prophet. At the end of the first season, Eli opts for surgery to have the aneurysm removed, leaving him in a coma where he makes peace with God. When Eli awakes from his coma, he is vision-free for six months, but the visions do return. Is this a sign he's truly a prophet? Or was the surgery a failure? This series is heavily influenced by its musical numbers -- during the first season, each episode was named after a George Michael song and he appeared in multiple episodes.
