Plot Synopsis

Designer/contractor Chip Wade rips out and tears down existing structures to reconfigure homes for families who have outgrown them, while providing them with a space that's perfectly suited to their living needs. Each 30-minute episode features one family, including: The Webbs, whose outdated floor plan of tiny rooms leaves them cramped in the small family room, so Chip guts this house by busting out the walls that separate the kitchen, family and dining rooms, creating a contemporary great room; Loren Soloman and Seth Einstein, who are sharing an uninspiring home office that's a hodge-podge of work out gear, clothing, and random furnishings, so Chip demos the attic by lowering the floor and cutting a hole in the roof to create a dormer; policeman Eddie Smith, who has a basement filled with work out equipment and the adjacent patio is a mess of old rusty BBQ grills, so Chip tears out a sagging ceiling, extends the patio space, and creates a custom window/ projector screen; and many more home overhauls.
