Plot Synopsis

Music superstars Kelly Clarkson, John Legend, Jennifer Nettles and Robin Thicke each traveled across America in search of two undiscovered singers, and now the stars compete against each other with their newly found partners, as they sing duets each week in front of a live studio audience. The duet partners are: Bridget Carrington (age 34; from Farmville, VA) and Johnny Gray (37; Shoreline, WA) with John Legend; Olivia Chisholm (21; Charlotte, NC) and Alexis Foster (21; Knoxville, TN) with Robin Thicke; Jason Farol (23; Torrance, CA) and Jordan Meredith (21; Kimberly, WI) with Kelly Clarkson; and John Glosson (32; Douglas, GA) and J Rome (25; Laurel, MD) with Jennifer Nettles. The grand prize is a contract with Hollywood Records. Lionel Richie was originally scheduled to be one of the four mentors, but was replaced by John Legend.
