Plot Synopsis
By highlighting cooking and shopping tips, workout techniques and dining out do's and don'ts, host Melissa d'Arabian, food correspondent Aarti Sequeira, nutritionist Samantha Cassetty, and fitness expert Ashley Borden (Season 1) show viewers how to make weight loss easy and manageable. d'Arabian makes over recipes with light and flavorful twists, while also presenting new, low-cal options. Cassetty, the Nutrition Director for Good Housekeeping, unveils the issues with portion distortion and discusses how to shop so that hidden calories don't add up to extra pounds. Sequeira shares hints and tips for eating out -- healthy dining choices, leftovers and portion control -- while also exploring fitness options in Season 2. In Season 1, Borden presented a fat blasting fitness plan, shared her secrets to circuit training, and unveiled fitness routines that everyone can do. Cooking Channel premiered the second season of DROP 5 on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at 10:30am ET.
