Plot Synopsis

DOGS OF BERLIN is a one-hour, German-language drama series that centers around two contrasting Berlin police detectives, Kurt Grimmer and Erol Birkan, who become a team against their will. When a Turkish-German football superstar, Orkan Erdem, is murdered the night before a big international game they are forced into a territorial battle with the Berlin underworld that confronts them with their own human weaknesses and criminal activities -- and into a final decision on which side of the law they're actually on. The series opens on the eve of Germany's World Cup qualifier, when off-duty cop Grimmer spots police nearby at a fresh crime scene and is shocked to see who the victim is. Grimmer's neo-Nazi links spur a search for a case partner of Turkish descent. Grimmer's wife suffers a trauma that puts her kids in questionable care. On Friday, December 7, 2018 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, Netflix released the 10-episode first season of DOGS OF BERLIN.
