Plot Synopsis

As told from the perspective of their dog, this scripted family comedy follows new step-siblings Tyler, Avery and Chloe, and their parents, Bennett and Ellen, as they adjust to life as a newly blended family. Their biggest surprise, however, comes when the kids discover that their recently adopted shelter dog, Stan, talks and blogs. Tyler and Avery, typical teen siblings who rarely agree on anything, both want to keep Stan's secret from their parents. Chloe, the youngest child, thinks it's normal to have a dog that talks, but, fortunately, her parents think she just has an overactive imagination. As Stan inadvertently finds ways to get himself, Tyler and Avery into hairy situations -- like refusing to be friends with the neighbor's dog or volunteering to be the school mascot -- the kids learn just how important family is and how much they need to work together to keep Stan's secret safe. Disney Channel aired the premiere of the second season on Friday, September 20, 2013 at 8:30pm ET/PT. It's the first day of school in the season opener, and Avery's classmates have had growth spurts over the summer, leaving her feeling insecure. Meanwhile, still dealing with the consequences of last year's bad grades, Tyler must reveal to the entire school the shorter haircut his parents made him get, and Chloe pressures Ellen about her lunchbox contents which she believes will define her social status at school.
