Plot Synopsis

Hosted by Tamera Mowry-Housley, DR. SEUSS BAKING CHALLENGE is an eight-episode competition series that invites America's best bakers to step into the world of Dr. Seuss. From classically trained pastry chefs, to self-taught cake artists, nine teams of two bakers compete for a grand prize of $50,000. From The Grinch to The Cat in the Hat, these bakers use their limitless imaginations to craft jaw-dropping creations inspired by beloved Dr. Seuss characters. In each episode, bakers are given a challenge based around Seuss characters and stories, and their towering creations are judged by Clarice Lam and Joshua John Russell based on taste, creativity, and storytelling. Competing teams include: Red Team (Angelo Satterwhite - Pastry Chef; Lily Sanchez - Cake Artist); Blue Team (Kyle Smothers - Pastry Chef; Huiwen Lu - Cake Artist); Brown Team (Maya Hayes - Pastry Chef; Angel Figueroa - Cake Artist); Purple Team (Nikki Jessop - Pastry Chef; Alejandra Galan - Cake Artist); Yellow Team (Lorenzo Delgado - Pastry Chef; Tareka Lofton - Cake Artist); Teal Team (Rebecca Reed - Pastry Chef; Ashley Ball - Cake Artist); Green Team (Cristina Vazquez - Pastry Chef; Kerrie Breuer - Cake Artist); Orange Team (Chris Cwierz - Pastry Chef; Alene Paulk - Cake Artist); and Pink Team (Daniel Santo Edwards - Pastry Chef; Joyce Osorio - Cake Artist).
