Plot Synopsis
In this semi-autobiographical comedy series, doctor turned actor/comedian Ken Jeong plays Dr. Ken, a brilliant physician with no bedside manner. He is always trying to be a good doctor, as well as a good husband to Allison and a great dad to his two kids, their youngest son Dave and their rebellious daughter Molly. However, these good intentions have a way of driving everyone crazy at both work -- with the hospital receptionist, Damona; the head of the hospital, Pat; and a dimwitted nurse, Clark -- and at home. Luckily, his therapist wife Allison is just the right partner to keep things sane. Season 2 of DR. KEN premiered on Friday, September 23, 2016 at 8:30pm ET/PT on ABC. In the season opener, "Allison's Career Move," when a job opportunity opens up at Welltopia, Pat thinks Allison would be perfect for it, but Ken isn't so sure he wants to work so closely with his wife. Molly is stunned with her low SAT scores, and Dave has some ideas as to how to hide the results from their parents. Clark asks Damona's help in trying to find out what Clark's boyfriend, Connor, does for a living.

On Friday, March 31, 2017 at 8:30pm ET/PT, ABC premiered the Season 2 finale of DR. KEN, with Dan Harmon, Alison Brie and Nia Vardalos guest starring. In the season ender, "Ken's Big Audition," after an awkward audition with Alison Brie (guest starring as herself), Hollywood producer/writer Dan Harmon (guest starring as himself) makes Ken's life-long dream come true by casting him in a new comedy series that takes place at a community college. Meanwhile, Pat is ready to declare his love for Damona, but an unexpected visit from his ex-wife, Tiffany (guest star Nia Vardalos), throws him off course; and Allison is less prepared for Molly to leave for Stanford than she's letting on
