Plot Synopsis

Based on the UK TV series FRIDAY NIGHT DINNER, DINNER WITH THE PARENTS is single-camera comedy series about a weekly family get-together that always devolves into chaos and fiasco. Every Friday evening, the closely-knit Langers prove that it takes those we love best to bring out our worst. On the menu: pranks, schemes, unwelcome neighbors, childhood crushes, at least one felony, many very bad decisions, and a scrumptious, freshly-baked apple crisp. DINNER WITH THE PARENTS debuted on Thursday, April 18, 2024 on Freevee, which released the first four episodes. Two episodes dropped weekly on Thursdays through May 9.

On Thursday, May 9, 2024, Freevee released the final two episodes of DINNER WITH THE PARENTS. In the penultimate episode, "Eureka," Gregg disrupts David's train of thought just when he is on the verge of cracking the most famous unsolved math problem, so the family teams up to get him back on track. Then, in the finale, "The Langer Games," everyone's resentments and grudges come to a head as the Langer Passover celebration devolves into a brutal, high-stakes competition.
