Plot Synopsis

Written, produced and hosted by Kobe Bryant, DETAIL is a basketball analysis show aimed at fans, current players and coaches. Each episode features Bryant's high-level analysis and insights as he breaks down games and individual performances throughout the NBA, WNBA and college basketball. DETAIL launched on ESPN+ on April 12, 2018 -- the same day the streaming platform launched.

In the series opener, Bryant highlights and analyzes the matchup between the Los Angeles Lakers and Denver Nuggets in Game 6 of the 2009 Western Conference Finals. He scored 35 points in 42 minutes to send the Lakers to a second consecutive appearance in the NBA Finals. Although the series begins with Bryant looking back on a game he played in, the five-time champion will provide insight and analysis as he also breaks down current playoff games.

The 15-episode second season -- including NBA playoffs, WNBA and Women's College Basketball -- tipped off on March 11, 2019 on ESPN+. The season opener features Bryant breaking down the performance of the Houston Rockets' MVP candidate James Harden versus the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday. Harden, the NBA's top scorer this season, had 31 points in the Rockets 107-91 win over the 76ers in Houston on Friday night. Bryant shows how Harden reads the Rockets' fast break, moves without the ball, and evaluates options in the offensive half court. Of course, Bryant also shows how Harden puts the ball in the basket.
