Plot Synopsis
Kevin 'Pac' Pacalioglu has no money and no clue, but he can see dead people, so he supports himself as a medium-for-hire, helping New York City's most frivolous ghosts finish their unfinished business -- all while exerting as little effort as possible. Kevin's only friend, Roofie, is a constant source of emotional and pharmaceutical support during Kevin's ghost misadventures, and he encouraged Pac to find the financial upside in dealing with the dead's downside. Kevin's nemesis is Camomile White, a beautiful celebrity medium, who has parlayed her fame into a multi-faceted business empire, but there's only one problem: she can't actually communicate with the dead. Plus, her assistant, Sue, knows she's a fraud, and Sue must hide her excitement from her boss when she realizes that Kevin can actually communicate with the dead. On Wednesday, April 9, 2014, Hulu released all 10 episodes on Hulu Plus, but only the first two episodes on Hulu, with a new episode scheduled to be released on Hulu on subsequent Wednesdays. On Monday, April 20, 2015, Hulu released the entire 13-episode second season of DEADBEAT on Hulu Plus, with the Season 2 opener available for free on Hulu. In the season debut, "The Ex-orcism," Sue finds herself unable to move on into the light in her new ghost form, though Pac is here to help. Season 2 features guest stars James Franco, Danny DeVito, Fred Armisen, Michael Ian Black, Gilbert Gottfried, Jim Norton, Zachary Levi, and more.

Season 3 of DEADBEAT premiered on 2016's 4/20 holiday (Wednesday, April 20, 2016) at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, with all 13 episodes of the third season available on Hulu Plus. In Season 3, Pac needs a fresh start after losing both his ghost girlfriend and best friend/drug dealer, so he moves into the apartment of "stoner entrepreneur" Clyde Shapiro, an equally aimless Brooklynite who Pac meets in jail. When Clyde learns about how Pac is able to help send ghosts into the Light by resolving their unfinished issues, he excitedly offers to help Pac monetize his gift by going into business with him.
