Plot Synopsis
DAY JOBS is a reality series that follows famous country music artists who work in the jobs they held before they made it big. Each 60-minute episode features three stars, including Troy Gentry (bartender), Chris Young (AC unit installation), Rodney Atkins (landscaper), Chuck Wicks (potato farmer), Josh Kelley (golf instructor), Eddie Montgomery (butcher), Aaron Tippin (corporate jet pilot), David Nall (Dairy Queen employee), Darryl Worley (commercial fisherman), Easton Corbin (Ace Hardware employee), Gary Allan (construction worker), Phil Vassar (restaurant owner), Danny Gokey (truck driver), Clay Walker (cattle rancher), Neal McCoy (women's shoe salesman), Craig Morgan (U.S. Army fire support specialist), Joe Nichols (warehouse/forklift worker), and Little Big Town's Kimberly Schlapman (waitress). Every participant agreed to put in a full eight-hour day and some had to undergo additional training to safely do their previous jobs. GAC aired a sneak peek of this series on Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at 8pm, and then aired the official series premiere on Sunday, October 2, 2011. The sneak-peek, one-hour episode featured only one star, Trace Adkins, who returned to his former job as a roughneck on an oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico.
