Plot Synopsis

DAWN OF THE CROODS is a half-hour animated comedy series that follows the Croods -- Eep, Grug, Thunk, Ugga, Sandy and Gran -- as they meet new friends, outrun new creatures and encounter firsts the world has never seen, such as school, sleepovers, hiccups and elections. The Croods include: Eep, an adventurous teenager whose curiosity sometimes gets her into trouble; Thunk, a dreamer at hear, whose creativity makes him different from everyone else; Grug, a strong dad and confident hunter, who loves his family -- and would do anything to protect them; Ugga, a stay-at-cave mom, who balance Grug's strenght with her smarts; Sandy, the baby of the family, who's as wild as she is cute; and Gran, Ugga's mother and the oldest person in Ahhh! Valley, whose hobbies include making fun of Grug. Plus, there's Lerk, Eep's new best friend; new neighbors The Boors, who think they're better than the Croods, with mom and dad Snoot and Meep Boor whose kids, Sulk and Bulk, run with the "in" crowd at school; and Grug's best friend, Munk, who lost his family -- and someday may figure out where he left them. The series opens when Gran moves into the cave with The Croods, as she drives Grug nuts and embarrasses Eep in front of the first-ever group of cool kids. Then, when teamed up with her new friend Lerk, Eep's competitive side takes over when she sets out to win the first-ever school hunting exam at any cost. On Thursday, December 24, 2015 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, Netflix released the first season of DAWN OF THE CROODS, which is a prequel to the 2013 theatrical film THE CROODS. On Friday, April 7, 2017 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, Netflix released the third season of DAWN OF THE CROODS.

Netflix released the 13-episode fourth season of DAWN OF THE CROODS on Friday, July 7, 2017 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT. In the season opener, "A Few Good Grugs; Valley Shine Day," the Croods are allowed a "try-all" to prove their innocence after being accused of stealing the valley's food stash; Kevin gives Thunk tips on attracting girls.
