Plot Synopsis
Event coordinator and shrink-to-the-stars David Tutera plans weddings, showers, and birthday parties for Hollywood's reality-star divas. No demand, no deadline, no outrageous request is too big for this party planner, but it's up to David to keep these over-the-top celebs in line and get the job done. In each one-hour episode, David plans a party for one of Hollywood's biggest divas, including: a wedding for former RHOBH star Taylor Armstrong and lawyer John Bluher; a party for JERSEY SHORE's Jennifer 'JWoww' Farley; Lil' Kim's baby shower for her daughter, Royal Reign; an anniversary party for Brandy and Ray J's parents; a self-indulgent party for BAD GIRLS CLUB's Tanisha Thomas; WWE's Amy Weber's twins' birthday party; a vow renewal for RHOOC's Alexis Bellino; and Jonathan Platero's ambush wedding to DWTS's Oksana Dmytrenko. When the series premiered, DAVID TUTERA'S CELEBRATIONS was alternately called a new series, Season 2 of DAVID TUTERA: UNVEILED, or Season 7 of MY FAIR WEDDING, depending on the source. On Friday, January 9, 2015 at 10pm ET/PT, WE tv premiered the second season of DAVID TUTERA'S CELEBRATIONS. In the Season 2 opener, David is tasked with planning a star-studded 10th anniversary celebration for famed celebrity blogger Perez Hilton. Other events on David's docket this season are: a Sweet 16 party for China Anne McClain; Omarosa's festive holiday party benefitting St. Jude Children's Research Hospital; Holly Robinson Peete's extravaganza to support autism awareness; NBA Hall of Famer Dennis Rodman's surprise birthday bash to fete his best friend's cancer recovery; an over-the-top birthday bash for Jill Zarin; supermodel Angie Everhart's beachfront wedding, marking the 100th episode for Tutera; and a runway preview show of Porsha Williams' new lingerie line, Naked Lingerie. Amid the chaos of planning events for his famous clientele, David must find time to for his home life that includes partner Joey, daughter Cielo who's starting to talk and he also has a party of his own to plan -- an intimate surprise party for his trusted, quick-witted assistant and driver, Montre. Helping David make his creative vision a reality are: Alissa, his trusted senior event coordinator who always keeps calm in the eye of the event storm; event coordinator Slomique, who brings the sass along with her high standards; and celebrity stylist Anya Sarre, who is the newest member of David's team. Season 3 of DAVID TUTERA'S CELEBRATIONS premiered on Friday, October 30, 2015 at 10pm ET/PT on WE tv. With pressure building, the tensions rise, threatening to drive a rift between David and his team. Strains develop when David has to confront his stylist, Anya, who isn't meeting his expectations. And with so many new celebrity clients, David decides that it may be time to hire a new event coordinator causing Slomique to be on edge. As David balances managing client demands and his team, he must find the time to plan one event that requires his focus and personal touch; the wedding of his assistant and confidante, Montre. In the season opener, David is tasked with planning the bridal shower of singer and actress Vanessa Williams. As a huge fan of her work, David is determined to exceed Vanessa's expectations. Everything seems to be going according to plan until David's team meets Vanessa's friend, Keva, who has her own ideas about what is best for the former Miss America. In subsequent episodes of Season 3, David and his team plan events for these celebrities: Vivica A. Fox, Kim Coles, Ian Ziering, Cynthia Bailey, Big Ang Raiola and Reza Farahan. After a three-month break, CELEBRATIONS returned with back-to-back new episodes on Friday, March 11, 2016 on WE tv from 9-11pm ET/PT. With new celebrities to plan for and new hires to teach, David has to spread himself thin to see that every event detail is up to his executional standards. gets the shock of his life when Hollywood icon Tori Spelling asks to be his apprentice. While David considers her request, he hires Ryan, a new event coordinator, who immediately offends Slomique with his arrogant attitude. Then Montre reveals that he has a history with Ryan... When Tori joins the team and tries to take control, it becomes an all-out battle of the planners, while they execute parties for celebs including Daymond John, Iyanla Vanzant, Sundy Carter, and Gary Busey. On the night of the mid-season premiere (9pm), Tori Spelling's son's third birthday party is planned with help from David. Then, in the night's second new episode (10pm), Daymond John enlists David to plan a multi-media book launch party with a rags-to-riches theme. DAVID TUTERA'S CELEBRATIONS returned with new episodes on Friday, April 27, 2018 at 10pm ET/PT on WE tv. With new hires to watch over, and new celebrity clients including Zendaya, Heidi and Spencer Pratt, and Buddy Valastro, the event planner extraordinaire has his hands full. Can David and his team pull off his usual spectacular events that exceed expectations despite internal turmoil? In the season premiere, CAKE BOSS star, Buddy Valastro, calls upon David to throw his wife, Lisa, a surprise party. Buddy warns Team Tutera not to blow the secret, or else! The situation gets a little sticky for David's newest employee, Ryan, when he is tasked to deliver the centerpiece of the event, an original Cake Boss masterpiece. After a 2.5-month break, DAVID TUTERA'S CELEBRATIONS returned with new episodes on Friday, August 3, 2018 at 10pm ET/PT on WE tv. In the summer premiere, Vivica A. Fox wants to host a birthday party and launch her lingerie line at the same time.

On Friday, September 28, 2018 at 10:05pm ET/PT, WE tv premiered the season finale of DAVID TUTERA'S CELEBRATIONS, as comic Kym Whitley hires David to throw a Cotton Club-inspired awards ceremony for five unsung women in Hollywood; when Kym only books four honorees, David must find a fabulous fifth.
