Plot Synopsis

DATES is a half-hour scripted series that explores the issues, intricacies, romance, and danger of modern relationships and the thrills, calamities, lies, and truths of first dates. Each 30-minute episode focuses on a first date between two people who have met on an online dating service. CW will air the U.S. premiere of DATES on Thursday, July 9, 2015 from 9-10pm ET/PT, showing back-to-back episodes. In the night's first episode (9pm), "David and Mia," David is making his first foray into online dating. His first date is with Mia, who sizes him up and tells him she's changed her mind about the date. However, his reaction isn't what she expects and things take a surprising turn. Then, in the night's second episode (9:30pm), "Jenny and Nick," Jenny, a schoolteacher, sets out to meet her first internet date after recently ending a disastrous relationship. Nick, her date, has a secret agenda and his initial overzealous flirtation both confuses and excites Jenny. However, both are hiding secrets and when they each give into temptation, only one comes out a winner.

On Thursday, August 6, 2015 at 9:30pm ET/PT, The CW aired the U.S. premiere of the season finale of DATES. In the season ender, "Mia and David," Mia realizes the relationship may be moving too fast for her when David asks her to meet his kids. Looking for a change in pace, Mia calls Stephen for some fun. Things quickly take a turn when David shows up and finds Mia and Stephen together forcing Mia to figure out who, and what, she really wants.
