Plot Synopsis
John Ross, the son of J.R. and Sue Ellen Ewing, is determined to undermine his grandmother's legacy by drilling for oil on Ewing land, while Christopher, Bobby's adopted son, hopes to take the family business in a new direction of alternative energy sources. Elena Ramos makes the relationship between John and Christopher even more tense -- Elena is John's girlfriend and Christopher's former fiancee. Now, Christopher is engaged again, but to Rebecca Sutter (aka Pamela Barnes), who is trying to find her place in the vast Ewing family tree. With an increasingly volatile feud brewing between John Ross and Christopher, the stage is set for J.R. to return to his nefarious ways and rekindle the long-standing rivalry with his younger brother, while Bobby, the new family patriarch, will stop at nothing to keep John Ross and Christopher from perpetuating the family battle that tore the Ewings apart for so many years. When DALLAS returned for its second season on Monday, January 28, 2013 at 9pm ET, TNT aired back-to-back new episodes, featuring the continuing clash between Christopher and John Ross, as John Ross took revenge on Christopher and Elena and as J.R. and John Ross struck a deal to try to get control of Ewing Energies. Later in Season 2, DALLAS presented a J.R. memorial episode, including his private funeral and surprise appearances by a few former cast members, following the November 2012 death of actor Larry Hagman. DALLAS returned for its third season on Monday, February 24, 2014 at 9pm ET/PT on TNT. Following the death of his revered father, John Ross is out to prove he can be just as powerful an ally -- or enemy -- as the infamous J.R., and Sue Ellen is ready to help him any way she can. Plus, Bobby Ewing is now the senior member of the Ewing family, following the death of his older brother. Meanwhile, Christopher, Bobby's adopted son, is still determined to make a name for himself and his family, but he continues to reel after his engagement to Elena Ramos fell through and the search for his mother ended with news that she died in 1989. Elena, now consumed with thoughts of justice for previous wrongs against her family, including brother Drew and mother Carmen, turns to an old childhood friend, Nicolas Trevino. Cliff Barnes attempted to sabotage a Ewing oil rig, resulting his daughter, Pamela Barnes, being injured and killing her and Christopher's unborn twins. Pamela, now turned against her father, had helped the Ewings gain a controlling interest in Barnes Global and is now determined to find a happy ending with her new husband, John Ross, while Cliff awaits trial for the murder of J.R. Bobby's wife, Ann, continues to battle with Harris Ryland, her scheming ex-husband who is now in jail for drug smuggling, while she also builds a relationship with her daughter, Emma. Four months after the Season 3 spring finale, TNT aired the second half of Season 3 beginning on Monday, August 18, 2014 at 9pm ET/PT. In the spring finale, Southfork Ranch was engulfed by a devastating fire and Pamela OD'd after discovering that John Ross had been sleeping with Emma, with their affair threatening Bobby and Ann's marriage, too. Meanwhile, after Bo took a drastic action, Christopher and Heather dealt with the aftermath. Now, in the Season 3 midseason premiere, the Ewing family is searching for answers as to who set the fire at Southfork -- and who will survive -- while John Ross and Emma struggle with their role in Pamela's overdose.
