Plot Synopsis

CYNDI LAUPER: STILL SO UNUSUAL follows pop-music icon Cyndi Lauper, as she balances her family life with her hectic career. Lauper works through the same issues as every other working mother -- finding a way to split her time between work and family, while giving adequate attention to both -- but Lauper's work includes launching Broadway musical "Kinky Boots," singing on THE VOICE, writing her epic autobiography, working tirelessly to raise money for her True Colors charitable foundation, and fulfilling her role as a pop-culture darling by making public appearances, including a stint as the Grand Marshall of the Pegasus Parade at the Kentucky Derby. At home, she spends time with her husband of 20 years, actor David Thornton, and their 14-year-old son, Decyln, who she cheers on at his hockey games.
