Plot Synopsis

Using noted experts, cinematic recreations and high quality CGI, CURIOUS AND UNUSUAL DEATHS uses science to explain the strangest deaths in history. Each 30-minute episode has its own theme/location -- at work; at home; in a contest; against the clock -- while presenting three of the most grizzly, tragic or simply avoidable deaths from across the globe and throughout time. Subjects include: a bible salesman who is struck by lighting under a cloudless sky; a nuclear scientist who accidentally explodes his research; a lawyer who tests a glass window on the 24th floor; a pet lover who falls into a cat dish filled with less than three-inches of water; an impatient man who finds a way to make his Lava Lamp work faster; two stowaways who try to fly to China in a wheel well; and many more people whose lives ended in odd ways. Discovery Fit & Health aired the U.S. premiere of this series on Friday, February 17, 2012 at 10pm ET/PT with back-to-back episodes.
