Plot Synopsis

Three of the best cupcake makers from across North America test their creativity in the CUPCAKE SHOWDOWN diner kitchen. First, the competitors must make their best dessert incorporating one mystery ingredient. After three judges eliminate one competitor, the finalists must make creations based on a theme. One baker is crowned the champion, winning bragging rights and $10,000. On Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at 10pm ET/7pm PT, Cooking Channel premiered the "Pet Shop Cupcakes" episode of CUPCAKE SHOWDOWN, but the cable channel had no other episodes on its schedule at that time. In this special episode, three bakers use sesame seeds in their elimination round cupcakes. The last two standing compete for the $10,000 prize in a pet shop-themed cupcake showdown.
