Plot Synopsis

Best friends and business partners, Heather White and Lori Joyce, manage a cupcake empire while balancing their work with their friendship and personal lives. While running the business, they encounter the usual entrepreneurial headaches -- unreliable staff, stiff competition, quality control and financial difficulties -- that cause them to rethink their cupcakeries and almost close their doors. In their personal lives, Heather trains for a triathlon while Lori begins her in vitro fertilization. WEtv aired the U.S. premiere of CUPCAKE GIRLS on Saturday, August 14, 2010 at 9pm ET.
