Plot Synopsis

After 20 years of parenting, empty nesters Mike and Martina are finally reclaiming their wild side. Yet when both of their two grown daughters, Shea and Stella, unexpectedly move back in -- and Mike's parents, Bob and his second wife Alice, scratch their plans to spend their golden years in Florida -- making life crazy with a full house, especially the second time around. NBC aired a special preview of CROWDED on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 from 10-11pm ET/PT, showing back-to-back episodes. Then, five days later on Sunday, March 20, NBC aired the official series premiere at 9:30pm.

On Sunday, May 22, 2016 at 9:30pm ET/PT, NBC premiered the series finale of CROWDED, with guest star Debra Monk. In the series ender, "Come Back," the whole family heads to Bob's cabin in the woods where they discover Mike's mother, Linda (Monk), has been hiding from the law. The past gets rehashed and the family gets some closure, but a secret is revealed that could change everything.
