Plot Synopsis

From the co-creator of BLUE'S CLUES, this half-hour animated series -- which includes live-action how-to segments -- follows artsy alien Arty and his sidekick, Epiphany, as they embark on adventures across the galaxy in their palette-like spaceship, while solving problems with art. In this make-along, create-along, interactive art adventure series for preschoolers, Arty travels to new planets to take on a new artistic adventure, involving painting, drawing, sketching, sculpting, and many more activities. Each 30-minute episode includes two stories, and Arty travels to a different planet in each story, including: Sculpturon, where Seraphina helps Arty create a mosaic heart sculpture to show just how much he loves her; Fabrictopia, where, with the help of Fabiana, he sews a soft stuffie for Baby Georgia to hug; Paintoria, where he and Jackson go to painting class to learn about action painting; Paperia, where Captain Paper shows them how to make animal masks to bring their pretend play to life; Sculpturon, where silly Seraphina helps them him and Annie make a new beaded bracelet for Annie; Fabrictopia, where Fabiana teaches them about tie-dye t-shirts; Drawopolis, where Sketch shows them how to draw Splatter to help them find Jackson's dog who ran away; Paintoria, where Pablo and his paint pots help Arty paint a rocket ship for the play. At the end of each animated story, CREATIVE GALAXY presents a live-action, how-to tutorial, showing step-by-step instructions for that story's project. Amazon released the world premiere of the pilot episode on April 19, 2013, more than 14 months before the official series premiere on Friday, June 27, 2014, when Amazon released six episodes on the same day. On Friday, October 3, 2014, CREATIVE GALAXY returned for its Fall premiere, as Amazon released six additional episodes. In the Fall opener, Arty's mom has forgotten to make the goody bags or his birthday party, so he travels to Paperia, where Captain Paper shows him how to make planet-shaped papier-mache goody bags.

On Friday, September 16, 2016 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, Amazon premiered the second season of CREATIVE GALAXY, releasing 12 new episodes. In Season 2, the galaxy expands as Arty introduces audiences to two exciting new art forms - cooking and singing/dancing -- with new planets and celebrity hosts: Cooktopia with Chef Zesty (Donovan Patton) and Groovopolis with Melody (Lisa Loeb). In addition, the new episodes celebrate key childhood "milestones" such as a parent's birthday and losing a first tooth, bringing even more relatable preschool experiences to families everywhere. Samantha Bee, Jason Jones, Cloris Leachman, Jason Priestley and Brooke Shields return to lend their voices in the new season, along with Broadway actress Caissie Levy.

On Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, Amazon Prime Video released "Arty's Holiday Masterpiece," a half-hour CREATIVE GALAXY special. It's the holidays and Arty makes a special cookie ornament to surprise his family. But it magically comes to life and runs away, leading Arty on an adventure helping his friends prepare for their own holiday celebrations. When Arty finally catches his holiday cookie, he discovers that the holiday cookie has a surprise of its own -- not just for his family but all his friends!

Amazon released the entire nine-episode third season of CREATIVE GALAXY on Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT. In the season opener, "Come Back, Winter!; Arty's Arthouse," Jackson and Annie are coming to play in the snow with Arty! But when they discover the snow's too muddy to play in, Captain Paper helps them out.
