Plot Synopsis

CRAZY LAND explores various American subcultures, chronicling the lives of extraordinary people who are often deemed strange as a result of their appearance or abilities. Each 60-minute episode highlights a different group of eccentric people, including: a group that fights crime in New York posing as self-styled super heroes; bodybuilders, who push their bodies to extremes, sculpting their bodies into seemingly superhuman forms; Sumo wrestlers, who use bizarre training methods to hone their skills, allowing them to compete using brute force, speed, balance and agility; a group that performs extreme body modification -- from tongue splitting and horn imports to those who hang from cables by metal hooks pierced through their skin; and many more Americans who share their experiences. 3net, Discovery Networks' 3D channel, presented the U.S. premiere of this series on Sunday, February 17, 2013 at 9pm ET. When CRAZY LAND debuted, 3net promoted it as its 13th native 3D series.
