Plot Synopsis

Cousins Anthony Carrino and John Colaneri surprise inspirational homeowners by transforming their homes while they're away for three days and then banding together with the neighborhood to reveal the heroes' houses when they return from their weekend getaways. In each 60-minute episode, the Cousins help a different hero, including: new mom Elizabeth Brehm, who was recently laid off from her teaching job and gets help from the whole neighborhood, family, and friends and surprise from Ellen Degeneres; 11-year-old Johnny Volpe, who goes away for three days on a beach trip as Anthony and John make his family's home better suited for coordinating the family's many volunteer events raising money for cancer research; Earl Hart, who dedicates every moment of his free time to the students from low income areas and who help renovate his home while he's out of town for three days; Tania Liddy, who selflessly coordinates all the community's athletic, school-related and social activities; Bob Keenan, who gets a true wrestling gym to enable him to continue his work with kids and a massive deck to add to the sense of community; and more do-gooders who get home makeovers.

COUSINS UNDERCOVER returned for its second season on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at 8pm ET/PT on HGTV. In the season opener, the Cousins and a supportive community come together to help a dedicated police officer, Nadia, by remaking the family room and completely transforming the backyard to include a soothing rocky stream, in-ground fire pit and pergola for relaxation, lush plant life in all directions and an outdoor living room. The next two episodes -- airing on July 2 and July 9 -- featured families who appeared on THE ELLEN DEGENERES SHOW in spring, where Ellen surprised two unsuspecting military veterans and their families with life-changing home transformations completed by John and Anthony.
