Plot Synopsis

Bob Costas hosts this live, quarterly, town-hall program that features multiple guests in front of a live audience. The first edition, COSTAS TONIGHT: LIVE FROM THE SUPER BOWL, was held at the Indiana Repertory Theater three nights before Super Bowl XLVI, with Costas being joined by these guests: Roger Goodell, NFL Commissioner; Jerry Jones, Owner of the Dallas Cowboys; Robert Kraft, Owner of the New England Patriots; John Harbaugh, Head Coach of the Baltimore Ravens; Tony Gonzalez, tight end for the Atlanta Falcons; Dwight Freeney, defensive end for the Indianapolis Colts; Philip Rivers, quarterback for the San Diego Chargers; Larry Fitzgerald, wide receiver for the Arizona Cardinals; Jeff Saturday, center for the Indianapolis Colts; and NBC Sports' Super Bowl Commentators, including Al Michaels, Cris Collinsworth, Tony Dungy, and Rodney Harrison. Plus, the premiere program included these segments: a one-on-one interview between Costas and Commissioner Roger Goodell; "State of the Game," in which panelists discussed important issues in the NFL; "Coaches Panel," during which experts evaluate NFL coaching -- of past, present and future; and a big-game preview from the NBC Sports' broadcast team.
