Plot Synopsis

COMEDY ISLAND JAPAN is a one-hour reality series that features comedians who embark an adventure when they suddenly drift to a mysterious island -- a land created by five well-known Japanese novelists and manga writers: Lily Franky, Akiko Higashimura, Ira Ishida, Shogo Imamura, and Shin Kibayashi. The island has been cursed for years, and if a joke goes wrong, disaster strikes. In order to break the curse of the bizarre island, they must prove their improvisation skills, facing unexpected and unreasonable challenges. They must survive by ad-libbing. Japanese comedian Teruyoshi Uchimura and celebrity Kazumi Takayama host the series. All six episodes of COMEDY ISLAND JAPAN dropped on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 on Prime Video.
