Plot Synopsis

Following the 97-episode run of VH1 STORYTELLERS on sister network VH1, CMT brings the STORYTELLERS franchise to country music. Just like the original series, singer/songwriters perform and tell stories in front of an intimate audience about their lives, lyrics and careers.

CMT STORYTELLERS debuted on Wednesday, April, 13, 2022 at 8pm ET/PT on CMT, during the network's first-ever CMT MUSIC AWARDS WEEK, featuring a week of entirely original programming. In the premiere episode, Brooks & Dunn perform music -- including hits "Neon Moon," "Boot Scootin' Boogie," "Only in America," and more -- with a full band, while sharing the stories behind them.

The second episode premiered on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at 10pm ET/PT on CMT, featuring Darius Rucker. This one-hour special includes exclusive stories about how the country singer's hits were born, including songs from his country solo career and from Hootie & the Blowfish.

Kelsea Ballerini appeared on CMT STORYTELLERS in an episode that debuted on Thursday, February 16, 2023 at 10pm ET/PT on CMT. Ballerini shares intimate stories in between performances of her beloved hits, "Peter Pan" "Miss Me More," "homecoming queen?,'" and more; audience members get a chance to ask Kelsea questions.

On Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at 10pm ET/PT, CMT premiered the Kane Brown episode of CMT STORYTELLERS. Kane Brown shares stories about family, friends, and life as he performs hits including "What Ifs," "Cold Spot," and "Like I Love Country Music."

On Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at 10pm ET/PT, CMT premiered the Dierks Bentley episode of CMT STORYTELLERS. Dierks Bentley sings and tells the stories about fan anthems like, "What Was I Thinkin'," "Drunk on a Plane" and shares new music including, "Gold."
