Plot Synopsis

This one-hour series is a taut police drama about a female detective heading up a special unit of the Los Angeles Police Department that handles sensitive, high profile murder cases. She is quirky and difficult, but her ability to close her cases makes her the best in her field. In the show's final season, Brenda thinks she has finally cornered her longtime nemesis, lawyer and suspected rapist and murderer Philip Stroh. Brenda has been haunted for years by her obsession with putting Stroh behind bars, and this could be her last chance to close this open case. But her reckless fixation on Stroh could put the case -- and Brenda's career -- in jeopardy.
