Plot Synopsis

Hosts Nina Ferrer and Michael Moeller, two New York designers and contestants from Season 5 of HGTV'S DESIGN STAR, clean up the Big Apple -- one cluttered apartment, condo, co-op, brownstone and walk-up at a time. Nina and Michael scour the city, surprising and helping hopeful homeowners get to the root of their problems, battle the disorganization that is holding them back and break through emotional barriers to clutter-free bliss. After the team assesses each home, the big cleanout begins -- a process during which homeowners must go through the often-painful process of letting go of the very clutter that is holding them back. Then, appraiser Elyse Luray and auctioneer Duncan Schieb identify anything of worth and sell it at a yard sale, auction, flea market or wherever the team can make the most money, with proceeds going towards rejuvenating the homeowner's space with a fabulous makeover by members of the crew.
