Plot Synopsis

Each season, three complete strangers take a 10-day break from their everyday lives, and experience eye-opening, heart-pounding, adrenaline-filled adventures in an exotic location to find out what they're really made of. At home these men are stuck in dead-end jobs or missing that spark in their lives, but once they reach their destination, they get a real kick in the pants. Quality of life prevails in the end, but it's a long hard road where each guy reaches his breaking point in order to realize his true potential. In Season 1 the trio ziplined over wild terrain, got lost on Haleakala Mountain in the dark while mountain biking down Skyline trail, rafted through Hawaii's tropical rivers, got caught inside the break at Ho'okipa, and enjoyed more physical and mental challenges that created awareness in who they really were. The three CLEAN BREAK men in Season 1 were: Steven Helmkamp, a good-natured everyman feeling like a free spirit imprisoned in a three-piece suit as a pharmaceutical salesman, who joined this experience to rediscover the motivation he once had while pursuing his dreams; Chase Penny, a stay-at-home dad from Chicago, who joined the guys to re-energize his outlook on life and discover a little more about what life has to offer; and Luke Rodgers, a lifelong athlete and MBA-holding bartender, who joined CLEAN BREAK to discover the confidence to pursue his dreams and step out of the shadow of his famous younger brother, Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers. On their 10-day journey, they were helped by Hawaiian watermen like Dave Kalama, Archie Kalepa, Buzzy Kerbox, Bret Marumoto, Tamayo Perry, Kimi Werner, and Bear Woznick. In Season 2, the guys travel to New Zealand, where they jump off the tallest building in the Southern Hemisphere, kayak with Olympian Ian Ferguson, ride on the Emirates Team New Zealand racing yacht, race downhill in OGO Balls (11-foot inflatable balls), hit the waves with championship surfer Zen Wallis, rappel down the steep waterfalls of KiteKite Falls, dangle from the world's largest swing, and so much more. Season 2 featured: Hal Hardy, a Boise native, who settled for a secure life as an accountant instead of pursuing his dream to be an artist and writer; Leon Fleisher, who moved to Los Angeles to become a graphic novelist and pays the bills as a storyboard artist, grocery-store bagger, and trash collector; and Allen Walker, who is living at home with his parents after his NFL dreams were crushed when he suffered a broken neck during a high-school football game.
