Plot Synopsis
THE CIRCLE is a one-hour competition series, where online players flirt, befriend and catfish their way toward $100,000. In The Circle you never know who you're playing against as contestants bond, flirt -- and plot, all in an effort to earn clout exclusively through a unique social media platform. Everyone's competing to gain influence and avoid getting voted out. But who's for real and who's a catfish? With $100k on the line, what would you do -- and who would you be -- to win? On Wednesday, January 1, 2020 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, Netflix released the first four episodes of this three-week event series.
On Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, Netflix released the first four episodes of THE CIRCLE's 13-episode second season. A cast of eight new contestants enter The Circle, where they flirt, befriend, piss off, and compete in challenges against each other on a unique social media platform to earn the ultimate cash prize as top influencer. With $100k on the line, will they be able to earn clout and figure out who is real and who is a catfish? New episodes drop on April 21 and 28, with the finale on May 5.
THE CIRCLE returned for its third season on Wednesday, September 8, 2021, as Netflix released the first four episodes of the new season. A fresh crew of flirts, fibbers and honest allies join the Circle -- and navigate new twists and turns -- in hopes of winning this season's cash prize. The game begins as the players make profiles and share their interests, including shirtless selfies, family bickering and a casual blocking. Four more episodes debut on Wednesday, September 15; another four drop on Wednesday, September 22; and the finale is released on Wednesday, September 29.
Season 4 of THE CIRCLE debuted on Wednesday, May 4, 2022, as Netflix released the first four episodes of the new season. Four additional episodes drop on May 11 and May 18, followed by the season finale on May 25. They're chatty. They're shady. They're secretly famous. They're this season's players -- and all bets are off as they compete for the ultimate prize. The new season is again hosted by actress and comedian Michelle Buteau. Spice Girls Mel B (Scary Spice) and Emma Bunton (Baby Spice) join the CIRCLE's fourth season as a catfish.
THE CIRCLE is back for Season 5, and the players are all single and ready to mingle. More flirting, more catfishing, more drama, and surprises await as a new set of contestants compete in challenges to earn the ultimate cash prize as top influencer. Michelle Buteau returns as host. Starting December 28, 2022 Netflix rolls out new episodes of THE CIRCLE each Wednesday, continuing on January 4, 11, and the finale on January 18. Season 5 kicked off with eight players discussing go-to dance moves, past relationships and more. After a shocking vote, two players get a big surprise. A funny new face has the chat laughing, while strategic cliques start to form behind the scenes.

Four additional episodes drop on the next two Wednesdays -- April 24 and May 1 -- with the finale premiering on Wednesday, May 8. Catfish, connections and chaos await as new influencers -- and an AI bot -- enter the chat and compete for a huge cash prize in a new city with new twists. Artificial Intelligence has entered the chat, catfishing as Max. Can this artificial intelligence chatbot convince the players it is one of them? Season 6 players include: Autumn, Brandon aka Olivia, Caress aka Paul, Cassie, Jordan aka Big J, Kyle, Lauren, Myles, Quori-Tyler ("QT"), and Steffi.
