Plot Synopsis

Based on the UK game show of the same name, THE CHASE challenges a team of three total strangers to amass as much money as possible by answering quick-fire quiz questions -- all while beating The Beast. If the team can answer 150 questions correctly, they'll beat The Beast and win up to $250,000. But The Beast, Mark Labbett, competed as a Chaser in the original UK version of this series, and this 6'7" and 370-lb man has degrees from Oxford, Exeter and Glamorgan universities. In the early rounds, The Beast's job is to catch each contestant by answering more questions than his opponents to ensure they are not able to bank their money. In the final round, the teammates who have survived the initial chase collectively play against The Beast for the entire amount that they have banked. Even before the series premiered, GSN ordered a second season of THE CHASE, which premiered on Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at 8pm ET/PT, with Brooke Burns and Mark Labbett both returning. In the Season 2 opener, Mark battled three opponents on his birthday. Season 3 debuted on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at 8pm ET/PT, with Brooke Burns returning as host and Mark Labbett continuing to face down all challengers. After a month-long break, THE CHASE returned with new Season 3 episodes on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at 8pm ET/PT on GSN. In the Fall premiere, three celebrities -- Dean Cain (Gary Sinese Foundation), Seamus Dever (Beagle Freedom Project), and Boris Kodjoe (Sophie's Voice Foundation) -- competed against The Beast for the charities of their choice. GSN will air four more episodes of THE CHASE, concluding the show's third season, while preparing for the program's 20-episode fourth season. On Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at 8pm ET/PT, GSN premiered the fourth season of THE CHASE. Season 4 is marked by two new celebrity episodes and special theme shows, including the season premiere, which features three former contestants who return for a second shot at defeating The Beast. TV stars Carson Kressley, Cameron Mathison and Tatyana Ali also take on The Beast in a special celebrity episode on Tuesday, February 3, as they attempt to earn over $100,000 for their respective charities. An additional episode, featuring SCANDAL stars Joe Morton, Kate Burton and Brian Letscher airs later this season.

After a four-month break, THE CHASE returned with new episodes on Thursday, July 16, 2015 at 8pm ET/PT on GSN. In the Season 4 summer premiere, "Beast Without Borders," waitress, a bartender and a doctor test their combined knowledge.
