Plot Synopsis

CATASTROPHE is a half-hour comedy series set in London about an Irish woman and American man struggling to start a relationship after their clumsy lust leads to pregnancy. Their two different worlds collide as Rob decides to move to London to become the father he never had, while Sharon questions whether this will be her last chance at motherhood. Together, Rob and Sharon must steer through increasingly thorny situations and navigate the choppy waters of their ever-more-complicated lives, while also learning to deal with Sharon's intense Irish family; her rather unpleasant friend, Fran; and Rob's eccentric Bostonian mother, Mia. On Monday, June 15, 2015 at 7pm ET/4pm PT, Amazon posted the 30-minute pilot of CATASTROPHE on its Facebook page, four days before the show's official debut in the United States. This first episode was available for 48 hours for free before Amazon presented the official U.S. series premiere on Friday, June 19, 2015, when the video service released the entire six-episode first season of this comedy series.

On Friday, April 8, 2016 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, Amazon released the entire six-episode second season of CATASTROPHE. The stakes are higher in Season 2 as the series rejoins the now-married Sharon and Rob who are struggling to stay in love -- and lust -- while taking their trademark mayhem into parenthood. A monstrous family and crazy friends also seem hell-bent on ensuring that whatever new life-journey Rob and Sharon embark on will be anything but simple. With times having changed for these turbulent lovers -- and with their new arrival back home -- they must decide on an ill-considered party to get the introductions complete in one hit. Unfortunately for Sharon, the gathering coincides with a visit from Rob's eBay obsessed (and "card-carrying sadist") mom, a disturbing revelation about her father's health, and an unfortunate incident with the family dog.

Amazon released the six-episode third season of CATASTROPHE on Friday, April 28, 2017 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT in the United States. Rob and Sharon have faced down unexpected pregnancy and abrupt parenthood, but can they survive Rob's discovery of a suspicious receipt? With their relationship on shaky ground, they attempt to weather unemployment, mortgages, jealous coworkers, drunken mistakes, friends in rehab, disastrous job interviews, insane family, and, of course, keeping the children alive.

Season 4 of CATASTROPHE had its U.S. premiere on Friday, March 15, 2019 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, as Amazon Prime released all six episodes of the fourth season. Sharon and Rob are back -- and so are their adventures navigating the murky waters of parenthood, in-laws, creepy bosses, court ordered charity, alcoholism, exercise trends, kleptomania, love, loss, and everything in between.
