Plot Synopsis

In this reboot of WHERE IN THE WORLD IS CARMEN SANDIEGO?, the iconic educational TV series for kids, Carmen is a modern day Robin Hood traveling the globe and stealing from V.I.L.E. and giving back to its victims. Carmen is publicly perceived as a criminal by most law enforcement agencies -- correction, make that a master criminal due to the sheer scale and theatricality of her heists. We will follow her escapades and get to determine not only where but WHO in the world is Carmen Sandiego? In the two-part series opener, "Becoming Carmen San Diego," mischievous orphan Carmen enrolls at V.I.L.E. Academy, a school for thieves. Given the code name Black Sheep, she makes fast friends ... and enemies. Carmen crashes the graduates' caper, touching down at an archaeological dig site. But learning the truth about V.I.L.E. sets her on a new path. Netflix released the entire nine-episode first season of CARMEN SANDIEGO on Friday, January 18, 2019 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT.

Netflix released the 10-episode second season of CARMEN SANDIEGO on Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT. The stakes are higher than ever for Carmen and her crew as V.I.L.E. unleashes a host of highly trained new operatives while A.C.M.E. closes in. In the two-part season opener, "The Hot Rocks of Rio Caper," after spotting a V.I.L.E. operative in Prague, Carmen travels to Rio de Janeiro to find the source of stolen alexandrite gemstones. Then, Carmen, Ivy and Zack track V.I.L.E. through Rio and uncover a devious plot at a colorful Carnival parade.

On Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, Netflix released "To Steal or Not to Steal," a half-hour interactive special. In this special episode, viewers drive the action, helping Carmen save Ivy and Zack when V.I.L.E. captures them during a heist in Shanghai.

The five-episode third season of CARMEN SANDIEGO debuted on Thursday, October 1, 2020 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT on Netflix. Carmen and her crew touch down in Mexico City, New Orleans, Venice and more on their quest to stay one step ahead of V.I.L.E. In the season opener, "The Luchadora Tango Caper," Carmen searches for clues to her mother's identity in Veracruz, Mexico, where she befriends a fierce luchadora: a masked wrestler!

CARMEN SANDIEGO returned for its eight-episode fourth and final season on Friday, January 15, 2021 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, as Netflix released the entire new season. From the snowy Himalayas to the pyramids of Egypt, Carmen and friends race to stay one step ahead of V.I.L.E. on their latest adventures. In the season opener, "The Beijing Bullion Caper," V.I.L.E. plots to kidnap a dignitary who manages China's largest gold reserve, setting the stage for a high-flying battle at a Beijing opera house.
