Plot Synopsis

In each half-hour episode of CAR MATCHMAKER, host Spike Feresten finds a guy in need of a car, gets to know him, and then draws upon his own expertise and instinct to find three different cars perfectly suited to the buyer. At the end of each episode, Spike picks one car -- not always the expected choice, but he always picks the perfect one. Taped in Southern California and featuring cars from all eras and price ranges -- from a Jaguar F-type to a 1987 Buick Grand National -- each 30-minute episode features one car buyer, including: freelance comic artist Michael Buntyn, who is seeking the perfect car for his superhero-centric life; a model who gets hooked up with a cool sports car; a surfing DJ at one of the biggest radio stations in the country trading in his beat-up sedan; a husband and wife who can't agree on a new vehicle, forcing Spike to be a marriage counselor in addition to a car hunter; a San Diego resident who loves vintage muscle cars is asked to consider powerful modern vehicles; and many more people looking for the perfect car. Plus, during the 13-episode first season, some of Spike's celebrity buddies stop by, including Seth Meyers, Jerry Seinfeld, Will Forte and Fabio. On Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at 9pm ET/PT, CAR MATCHMAKER returned for its second season. In the season opener, "Driven by Design," Spike finds three unique and understated choices for the owner of a fashion marketing company who wants the perfectly tailored car.

CAR MATCHMAKER returned for its third season on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at 9pm ET/PT on Esquire Network. With 16 half-hour episodes, this season features Spike taking on an entirely new set of challenges as he draws upon his two decades of knowledge and expertise to find the perfect match for his clients, which include a couple looking to live completely off the grid for a year; an Art Director who wants a motorcycle with a sidecar for his best friend Lily the bulldog; and a retired NFL player who wants a luxury lifestyle but is now 'ballin' on a budget.' Plus, the new season features a massive range of vehicular eye candy, from a 1968 Chevrolet Camaro, to the new Lamborghini RWD Huracan, to a Classic 1978 Toyota FJ40 and a Saleen Tesla GTX. Spike also visits Arch Motorcycle Company to see the company's state of the art KRGT-1, the final product of years of building and testing to develop the ultimate performance motorcycle by co-founders Keanu Reeves and Gard Hollinger; plus, fellow car aficionado Jerry Seinfeld comes along for the ride when CAR MATCHMAKER goes on the road, traveling to the Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance event in Florida to help another buyer who has his eyes on Jerry's prized 1974 Porsche 911 Carrera 3.0 IROC RSR.
